Hi, I'm restoring a Coronado C-15 that has been neglected for years. I need help finding a few items:

1) Centerboard Gasket along with the trim that holds it in place.
2) Rubrail, or hull joint that has broken apart.
3) Centerboard stopper.

Any advice, or pointing me in the right direction would be really appreciated.

Thanks
Rory

Here's a parts page from CatalinaDirect.com There is also a customer service department at the Catalina Yachts factory. There's no website to my knowledge but you can contact the department through the general switchboard number that's posted on their website www.Catalinayachts.com

The gasket looks like a piece of Dacron sailcloth. Flying Scot, Inc may be able to help you as they use a similar method.

At least on he Scot the gasket is held in place by a piece of brass ½ round trim. Check McMaster-Carr

Early builders often appropriated parts from other industries. You might have luck looking through the CR Laurence catalog for vinyl trims and glazing vinyls.

Rubrail, or hull joint that has broken apart
Rub rail is different that the hull joint. Check Taco Marine for rub rails. They are a primary manufacturer of the rub rails.
The hull joint if damaged will need to be rebuilt.

Coronada was purchased by Catalina if memory serves me right. Contact Skip at Catalina In Largo Florida who can steer you to the right person if possible

Otherwise, contact Catalina Direct which is not owned by Catalina who has helped Coronado owners in the past.

My name is Allen Swanson. I live close to Dallas, Texas.
In 2013, I purchased C-15 S/N 3706 from John Payne.
I understand John was the C-15 fleet commodore many years ago and won the nationals one year in this boat.
My plan was to do a complete restoration on the boat and race it.
I also have an older C-15 (with the uncomfortable rounded gunnel seating positions). I raced this boat for many years in handicap mixed fleets with good success in light air.

When I was cleaning up the boat, I noticed the transom seemed soft.
Upon further inspection I determined the entire transom was rotten. I assume when somebody changed out the gudgeons they did not seal the bolt holes properly and water got in.
I completely removed the transom and ordered a new composite honeycomb sandwich panel to replace it.

My wife and I plan to move to Alaska this summer and we are getting rid of most everything we own.
I would like this boat to go to a good home. Somebody who appreciates C-15s.
I have all the main pieces: mast, boom, whisker pole, centerboard, and rudder. I believe the centerboard and rudder are the Water Rat boards. The boom and mast are straight.

I also have a set of racing sails (North?) that were used less than 10 times. Still very crisp.

If anyone is interested in any of this, please reply, and we can chat offline.

Perhaps you could give this Boat with its heritage to a Youth sailing program in Texas.
