Kudzu does it again, wins Open Keel B fleet against Venture 21, Catalina 25, and Montgomery 17. The last race included the faster rated Open Keel A fleet and we beat all of them too (VXOne, Rondar K6, Holder 20, Moore 24 and a Capri 25). Very light winds (3-5 mph). One thing the Capri 22 does well - goes slow really good! Excels in light breeze. Those fast rated boats need to be able to plane to take advantage of their ratings, while the Kudzu crew has learned how to make the Capri 22 go "less slower" in slow conditions.
This was our seventh year in a row winning at the Whiskeytown Memorial Day Regatta near Redding, CA (about a three hour trip up CA99 and I-5).
