well Brian, for a more permanent solution and to keep RF "outa the shack" Id recommend you mount a fin to the hull directly below the antenna base made of your favorite non corroding and fairly conductive metal. Make it long enough so it does not uncover on either tack with your max design heel (or whatever you are comfortable with) and connect the antenna coax sheath to that. Don't even try to run RF through your shack!!!!! You would never try that on land would you?
