Mike, Don't know any yacht club activity on outer Cape, but you can rent Sturdee Cats and Rhodes 19's in Wellfleet Harbor. We have done this a lot and it is fun. Last week we took our new Pinic Cat up there and sailed those familiar waters. Wellfleet Harbor is pretty protected so you can get good air and flat water much of the time. You can also rent Rhodes (I think) up at Flyers in Provincetown. Sailing in that water is also fun, but your are wisely prohibited from coming out from under the Cape and finding the Atlantic. There are also places to rent Sunfish that you take, but be sure you watch the tides. I did this once, finished sailing at dead low,and had to carry the boat over 3/4 mile of tidal flat beach! Wellfleet Harbor Marine usually has boats in the water, and except for the odd Saturday, there is usually one available at all times. They also rent small motorboats with fishing gear if you want to go out for Flounder or Blues, but that isn't sailing. The rental sailboats are w/o motors. I don't know af a place on the Cape that rents anything larger for sail. Have a great visit. Roger Katty Bay PC 124 Dennis

If you're in that area, check out the waters about 5 miles north of Race point, there were literally 30-40 whales feeding, fantastic site!
