The "rated" capacity for my Bavaria 38E is 8 persons. At an average wt of 170 lbs; we have 170 x 8 = 1360 lbs. However, at anchor in quiet waters I've 20 on the boat; 170 x 20 = 3,400 lbs. The load "capacity" for the boat is about 4,000 lbs.
