canvas snaps into fiberglass

I own a 240 1988 O'Day and have redone all of the deck fittings this past season by removal and repotting the hole with epoxy, redrilling and then rebedding with butyl tape and had no real rot issues with the wood core found; I now have remaining the snap (male cpomponent of the canvas ) that is not a through bolted for the canvas of the Bimini, screwed into the fiberglass. Should these also be removed and replaced with through and through and repotted and rebedded, if so do they make snap pieces that allow through and through placement, ie not wood screw type as is now present?

Our deck is covered with these snaps drilled into the fiberglass. Don't see any need to have these through bolted only sealed with butly. They don't get that much loading to require through bolting.
