Hi,
I made a mold with modeler's clay to make a elevated area of the deck to attach my pulpit to, and now i can;t get the clay off, I am afraid if i don';t get it all off, then when i use epoxy and thickener to round it off and blend it it, the epoxy will be weakend by the clay residue. I tried acetone. Doesn't work
Help!

Keith,
Try a power washer. If you make another clay mold use PVA Mold Release by Evercoat on the deck so that you can remove the clay.

I think that a strong heavy duty power washer will remove it. My son brought a large one down on the back of his company's pickup truck about two years ago, and it cleaned the dirt out of the pores of my Teak. I used it to clean the centerboard slot in my keel and it did a good job on that too. I can't guarantee it Keith, but if that won't take it off, I don't know what will.
