Time to change the traveler car for the main sheet. At both ends are stops that haven’t moved in decades. I can now rotate the screws, but nothing much happens when I do. As you see in the photo the screw heads are visible in what I’ll call the “body” of the stop. Inside the body they are covered by a vertical post of a hard rubber like material that does not turn with the screw head.
Turning the screw does nothing to allow the stop to slide out of the track. Gently tapping the stops with a hammer seems to do not
