All of the sources I've found on the web max out at 1/4" for grey or bronze transparent. Anybody know where you can get it? Is 1/4" sturdy enough for companionway drop boards? My hasp & lock will be installed on the top one. No Lexan here...too expensive! Thanks!

I don't think

I would use 1/4" for hatch boards. Just not heavy/strong enough. I saw a place on ebay couple of weeks ago that had everything like that. But didn't save the location. Will try to look it up and if I can find it, will post up their name and addy.

We offer HDPE replacement hatchboards

in 1/2 inch, or 3/4 inch, sure it's not Lexan, but looks pretty good on my Catalina 22! http://shop.sailboatowners.com/detail-hatchboards.htm?fno=400&group=1117 If you have your heart set on acrylic, have you tried Tap Plastics: http://tapplastics.com/ Or, Clear Cut Plastics: http://clearcutplastics.com/

I use McMC

Rob, McMaster Carr is a combination of the best and easiest that I have found. They have a website and will ship at a very reasonable cost. Look them up on the web. They are great for a lot of accesories on a sailboat. Good Luck, Mike D
