CANPASS Reinstated

I received a letter yesterday from Canadian Customs announcing that their CANPASS program was reinstated effective April 2, 2002. They indicated that active memberships in CANPASS had been extended for six months, but also promised fee increases in the future. This is good news for those of us who are back and forth across the border frequently (well, not the fee increase).Gary WyngardenS/V Shibumi H335

NEXUS is coming!

Gary,Look for NEXUS to be coming on line before too long out in Washington. Unlike CANPASS, this program is joint between US/Canada Customs/Immigration. One program to/from Canada/USA in a dedicated lane, no stops. This is based upon the pilot program in Port Huron/Sarna. Look for it to eventually go accross the northern border.Steve
