Cannot pump water out of sink on 23.5

Not sure I'd ever use it much, but I tried the sink for the first time since buying the boat. Added a few gallons of spring water and began pumping away. Nothing. Not even any real resistance in the pump arm. What are common reasons for pumping failure? Is there a gasket in the pump I need to replace?

The seals on these pumps dry out . And even if you get it working ,it always seems to take a good few pumps to prime the line every time you use it.
You can buy new seals or a new pump for cheap.

In addition to what has been previously recommended I would check for any leaks in the suction line. You could also install a stop check valve at the tank outlet to help maintain line priming.

look under the faucet and there is a small in line for the sake of me I cannot remember the name of it an item that keeps water from flowing back or keeping the system primed. see if the forum store knows what they are and better yet, Al Fooks who is new on the team would know. He use to work for Hunter and is definitely a good fellow to know as well as Phil and Dave Greshong.
