I'm planning to buy a Canister stored life raft for my B 361. I'm wondering has anyone mounted one of these on the coach roof, or elsewhere? I'd welcome some pics if available. Alternative is a valise I guess- in the Lazarette until the weather warrants bringing it up to the cockpit...
Thanks much,

I would definately recommend a canister than a valise. I have a valise (it was in the boat when I bought it) in a lazarette and it's sooo heavy. I really wish I never need it.
If I ever change it (or "repack" it) I will go for a canister mounted on the transom somehow (pushpit), with straps probably.
The coachroof is also a good place but the only place I could mount it is below the boom where I keep my tender.

Thanks! Do you have a boom vang? I've found that my tender won't lay there as it interferes with boom operations... Maybe I'll have to retry.

Yes I do have a boom vang (solid).
Probably your tender is too big or wide. I have a 2.40meters long X 1.40meters wide tender and it's just fine.

We used a friends valise last time offshore... its heavy and a real bear to pull in and out of a lazarette and I am no small guy. I am buying a canister style this spring.
