Has anyone ever heard of a heater called CanaFlame. When we bought our H37C one of these things came with it. There were no books or owners manual, just the unit. I've posted a picture of it in the photo forum. If you know anything about one please let me know, too.. Ron Captronbob@Yahoo.com

Canned Heat

Actually, I believe it was sold to utilize a type of canned heat. I think that's the liquid petroleum stuff that you purchase (used to purchase) at sporting goods or hardware stores. Being in SoCal, I am not directly familiar with it ;>) but recall articles on it perhaps ten or more years ago. Good Luck, RD

West Marine

We used to have one about 10 years ago. It used a small can of jell that burned. We could heat our Cat 30 if it was not to cold. West marine used to sell them and the company was out of British Columbia Canada. I may has some info on them if I can find it.

How about...

Ron, That thing looks promising. How big is it? Does it have a chimney? Does it mount to the wall or just sit on the floor...? Perhaps there is a tag/label on it somewhere that has the company name and address. Let us know what you find out. regards, Tom

And the answer is!!!!!!

Seems you folks were right. It is called, "CanaFlame," and was sold by West Marine (who else)? The company that manufactured them went out of business about 10 years ago, hence, no more canaFlame canaFuel. I talked to a salesman at the local WM store and he wants to buy it. Seems I've been sitting on a collector's item. The question is, is it a junk collector or a boat antique collector. I think it is the former. Anyway, thanks for your input. And no, it has no chimmney and it can be mounted on the wall. Ron
