You get what you pay for

I see this thread has come around to the subject of good Canadian beer versus the cheap swill from south of our border. Canadians are allergic to weak US beer. The reaction is short lived if the beer is free. I usually find I can drink twice as much US beer. Canada's beer may be twice the price so I think it makes us even. despite the way this all read, I haven't had a drink in 6 days. Cheers Ken

Well, Higgs

I could make it two- especially if you bring a couple of those " beers that would put ours to shame" Afeter we have tried a few- and I expect you and I are pretty well qualified judges, we will see which side of the 49th really has good beer! look me up- the boat is "Friendship"

was what Canadian custom officials seemed the most concerned about last summer. I think it has to do with the ash bore. When I made landfall in Tobermorey, I called in and they asked twice. A live person questioned me in Little Current. I was glad that they didn't check my liquor, so that I wouldn't have to explain how that "handle" of Crown Royal shoudn't count against my quota since I had brought it back from Canada earlier in the season.

Richard

I will be in Toronto this summer and will look for you . Is the National Yacht Club formal? I bleong to the Olcott Yacht Club and to us, formal is a polo shirt. Anything I need to know about getting into your slip system. I will bring some good US beers for you to try.
