I shipped Solitude from Florida to Virginia and would caution you on a couple of things! First, the yard where your boat is now will prep her for the trip; mast off, electicals disconnected, equipment removed, etc. I wasn't prepared for what they did (or for the black-soled shoes...doh!), and you should TAKE PICTURES of things like rigging, accessories, etc. before they're taken apart. Second, the crew that took her apart was obviously not the crew that tried to put her back together, so did I say "TAKE PICTURES"?
Third, if they offer any sort of hull protection, pay the price. The trip was very very tough on Solly and I wish I had taken steps to protect her. Road debris, wind, any weather, potholes, etc., can be rather damaging at 60 mph, and if you're taking her from Virginia to Kentucky this time of year you can bet on some thunderstorms.
Finally, take particular caution with any masthead attachments. I lost the windex and the masthead light, and had an impossible chore proving that they were there when the shipping company loaded her. Oh, did I mention, "take pictures"?!
