I recently purchased a Cal 20. Nice boat. But the winches are strange. They're small - about 1 7/8" drum diameter, ie about 6" circumference. The odd part is the winch handle. All the other handles I've seen have a male fitting that connects to a female receptacle at the top of the winch. Mine is the reverse. The handle is the female; the winch itself the male. So the handle looks a bit like a socket wrench. My fear is that I'll drop the handle over the side, and have no idea where to get a replacement! Have any of you seen a winch like this, or know of the manufacturer? I believe Jensen used to install Barient winches as standard equipment, but they're out of business, and I haven't been able to discover if they made this 'backwards design'. Mine is not necessarily what the factory installed anyway. Dick
