Can you buy a roller furler and head sail from same vendor

I have a 1984 Hunter 25.5. I would like to add a roller furler and a new head sail. After reading some of the available roller furler installation manuals it would seem desirable to purchase the roller furler and the sail from the same vendor. This would eliminate questions of compatibility. Does such a vendor exist?

Compatibility is not really an issue. The roller furler will be designed for a specific luff tape size. You just tell the sail loft that size and they either have the sail in that size or they simply cut off the existing tape and add the correct one. You can't really buy them at the same time because the furler will fit several lengths of head stay and you need to measure the length once you install the furler and cut to length.

For the furler, I recommend you check out the ALADO furler. I installed one on my C&C 24 and really liked it. For sails I have some friends who like Rolly Tasker.

Good luck and fair winds.

Sail Warehouse sells jib/furler packages. I bought one (Harken furler, Rolly Tasker sail) a number of years ago for a Catalina 25. As Jesse said, they don't need to come from the same vendor, but the package was nice since all parts, including a new forestay, were included.

Hartwell, don't forget this site. See the "store" tab on top. If you contact them, I'm sure they can put something together for you at a competitive price.

JK;

Some sail makers will sell furling systems as well but JK's advice on installing and then measuring for the sail is a very sound and what most professionals would tell you to do. I did this with my customers as a dealer but now retired.
