Can This Paint Job Be Saved?

I just finished painting the hull with one-part poly, let it dry for a couple of weeks then taped off to paint the boot stripe. I used Frog tape for "delicate surfaces". Wet weather intervened and I wasn't able to paint the stripes right away.

Today, still too humid to paint so I decided I better pull the tape off and re-tape when conditions improve. As you can see, I was too late. Since I've paid for my slip and am already a month-and-a-half into the season, I'd like to just sand and paint over the damaged areas and boot stripe and launch by the end of May. Then start all over next spring.

Is that possible, or do I need to sublet my dock and start again from the beginning?
Thanks.

The paint should not have come off that easily. I'm guessing you did not get a good bind. Maybe you still had some wax on the hull when you painted?

As per your other question... I'd go sailing and fix it at the end of the season... but that is me.

You have my permission to punt the paint job and go sailing. There is always an open project aboard the boat. Next year.
