I finally got the call this afternoon at 4 from the yard manager at Kettenburg in San Diego: Running on Empty is finally coming home! After several false starts, the truck arrived this morning and by just after lunch, they were putting her on the trailer. Both the driver & the yard manager are satisified that everything is OK, so come monday, she'll be in Alameda, CA for her splash into the Bay! I need to do some work on the masthead, and then Tuesday or Wednesday, the mast will be stepped and away we go! If anyone in the Bay has not visited Nelson's boatyard on the site of the former Naval Air Station on Alameda, do so! It's a great facility, and Georgie, who answers the phone and is the maker and keeper of the schedule has been a delight to deal with. More on Monday...

Hal Penney, listed in the owner's section for the V32 is a friend of ours who is moving his V32 from Stockton to the bay. Hal just retired. He is very experienced and has had his for many years and done many modifications. He would be a wealth of information (and inspiration) for you.
