Scott, I have had to replace that hose in my
in my 1990 V-32. I had no problem. My exhaust port sat right on the water line on the outside. But Hunter had the connection in the Hull fiberglassed up above the water line. One more interesting experience to share. I purchased a new knot meter, Raytheon makes it so you can pull the speed traducer and replace it with a plug for long sitting periods. I will never forget how scared I was the first time I pulled it. I thought like you, the water was going to come pouring in. But it was so surprising what little amount of water actually comes in as I switch them out. Your hole is probally bigger than my plug hole. I also had to replace my rudder, and I was scared that the water would come pouring in and sink her, but once again, Hunter has the exit hole below the water line and the hole on the inside, which is actually where the emergency tiler goes in, on my deck, above the water line. I could sit there and stare at the water from my deck. Hope this helps.Good Luck!!!Daddy's Dream
