This 30 footer is on eBay at the moment, the link is below. She has great lines and really traditional look. (BTW, I'm not connected in any way to the sale!)
would be my guess. Most of these were small schooners in the tradition of Richard Maury's "Cimba" or Farley Mowatt's "the boat that wouldn't float" (forgot her real name). Plus there was the occasional sloop. If so, she's a one-of-a-kind and REAL OLD.The shape of her "bluenose" bow, her sheer and her coffin-shaped deckhouse all fit the picture. Too bad we can't see the whole bowsprit. What a jewel! Better to look at her from a distance, though, than having to maintain her in holy matrimony.Have funFlying Dutchman
Built in 1941, the maintenance would have been full time,as Henk implied. Glad to know that there are those who still have the time/money/desire/skill to keep them going, though. Thanks for the responses, guys.
I haven't met the owner but it's been there a long time. The ebay link looks like the listing was removed before it sold. If anyone wants more info I could find out.
