This is on our new to us 1997 Hunter 376. No sign of any kind of manufacturer's mark or label. Believe me, I've looked. Anyone have any idea who made this unit so that I can look up some info on it? Thanks.

Robert, usually, but not always, the ones with ammeters on them are way old technology. Try Charles or Lewmar(k). I haven't seen any new ones, in the past 15 years, with ammeters.
The thing to do is to check the output voltage, and follow it over time, like does it reduce voltage over time as a true three stage or phase charger will.
If you don't know what should happen in three stage battery charging, just download any modern charger manual, they all explain the bulk, absorbtion and float stages.

It looks just like mine in my 1997 h40.5. I have a [FONT="]Guest Battery Charger, 30A, Model 2830A. It has a 30A main output plus an aux 3A output for the starting battery.
I think it is a 3 step charger. I don't have a manual in electronic format that I can post.
I have found the charger to be rather unreliable. At delivery the dealer replaced it 3x before getting one to work. And years later the 3A output died. YMMV.

Thanks Rich, that gives me something to go on. Seems pretty odd for a manufacturer not to put their name anywhere on their product. Makes me wonder if they were ashamed of it...
That's a Guest (Marinco) charger most likely similar to the one on my '99 Hunter 340, 2-stage 30amp- the info in on the "top" I had the same mystery until I realized it was mounted sideways and you can't see the label. You can also take off the bottom (left) cover and the model info is in there too.
