Can't find a local Albin Vega but did find a 26 foot Chrysler ....

Any opinions on the Chryslers ?? I would really like to buy a
Vega but no luck locally. Any comments or suggestions ?? Thanks ! -

Extremely Tender boat that does not point well. If it has the original
Chrysler Inboard/outboard (or whatever its called) Parts can be a challenge
top find. Cramped interior (if it's the center brd model). Otherwise a
crappy boat from the sailing I did on one.

Other then that you thought it was a great boat didn?t you. Add to the list
of problems the centerboard pin. If you put the weight of the boat on the
centerboard when it was up, such as when grounded or blocked wrong in
storage. The pin would tear the sides of the centerboard trunk. It?s an
awkward repair at best. The pin on one side of the trunk is in a small
locker, hard to work in. There are lots of other boat available out there,
Wayne hold out for something better. Almost anything is better. Garry, you
saw one with the saildrive in it? Where did they put the power unit for the
drive? If I remember it right (its been a lot of years) there isn?t enough
room under the cockpit.
