Have a head on a 1984 C 30 that will not fill with raw water. Just ran a new r/w line to the head, did not help. Pumps out fine. Luckily, Catalina ran the fresh water sink drain to the head raw water inlet, so if I keep the head raw water sea cock closed, the fresh water in the sink will drain into the head and fill the bowl. Maybe this is good as I have a fresh water head and no "boat smell". Only problem is that if we ever ran out of fresh water, we would need a bucket of sea water to make it work. Should I just live with it or rebuild/replace the head? By the way we carry 75 gallons of fresh water in 3 tanks. Bob Windborne 3634 Westbrook,CT

This may sound stupid, but

Does the raw water inlet have a seacock on it? Moreover, if so, is the seacock open? Further, if the seacock is open, is it clogged with barnacles and such? Finally, does that line from the sink drain when empty possibly take all the suction from the toilet pump instead of it directed at the raw water coming in?

have you taken the pump apart? maybe it sucked up one of the valves.
