Are those who have taken advantage of the 'tax loophole' (pre Oct 04), are you required to submit a tax form in advance, or do you wait for the board of equalization to send you the standard letter, requesting proof of meeting the exemption rules...Just not sure if I wait to hear from them, or if I must 'report' via tax filing...Thanks,ms

law changed

the assembly passed a bill removing that loophole as of January 1st. you now have to remain offshore a much longer time. you'll need to do some more research, but a lot of people at this point are looking at offshore corporations/foreign flags.
