I am a long time pleasure sailor and ownes an 1968 O'day Outlaw 26' and have for 15 years. I'm looking to move up for comfort and distance pleasure cruising. I'm looking at a '67 Cal 34 for 10,000. Boat looks good, only has main and furling jib, 8 yr. old Diesel, good hull, dry boat. Please advise of history of Cal 34's and how they sail Never had experience with them. Help Thanks. Paul

Pretty boat

I've never sailed one, in fact I haven't sailed the Cal 29 I am restoring. But from tearing mine apart, I can say they are above average in construction and owners swear by them. They are often very undervalued when needing a little maintenance. There is a 34 on the hard near me and its beautiful, the lines are much more graceful than the shorter Cals. Personally, a 34 for 10K sounds outstanding, if a good survey. Ditto, check the Cal-list on Sailnet.
