Cal 40 as a Cruiser?

I am just beginning and have been doing research as to a suitable live aboard cruiser. I want to do it right and buy the right boat the first time. Really I dont know yet what I want in a boat but would like to learn the pros and cons of Cal.dale

I have a 1978 CAL 34SL, if above average condition, that I have just listed for sale in St. Petersburg, Florida. The current sruvey is at $42, 000. It sleeps 7, has a head, electric water and a 50 gallon tank. Stove with 2 burners and oven. Power is from a Westerbeke 30 hp diesel. I will offer it for sale for $32,500. It's really in perfect shape. A good intermediate that sails easily and fast.
