CAL 35 Cruiser #21 moored EVERETT WA
I am a "new to me" owner of a 1974 CAL35C Cruiser. I would like to learn what I can about the boat and find a resource for my questions, that are bound to come as I learn to sail, enjoy and work on my new vessel.

Of immediate interest is information about the "deadlights" that surround the salon of my new craft.

Oh, by the way, her name is "Hadley". This is a tribute to my Grandfather lost at sea off Lunga Point, Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands. As well as the brave crew of the USS Hadley who did their duty protecting the fleet off of Okinawa the morning of May 11 1945.

Yes I am excited. After several years of small boat sailing and crewing for friends I look forward to taking my new boat out among you fellow Sailboat Owners.

for Cal information, see this link... there is also a Cal boat owners yahoo group...

some of the models werent built into the thousands, and the age of them leaves even fewer numbers left "alive".... and even less owners that use a forum to share and glean information, so sometimes you have to wait awhile to get your questions answered.

Thank you centerline. See your from salem as well. Do you use a nearby marina for your Call 34?

From the Call 34 images I have seen your salon windows/ deadlights appear smaller than the ones I have. Any name as to the manufacture used by Cal Jensen?

I saw your address as salem, but wasnt sure what state... we are at McCuddys Marine Drive..

Our 34-III is a completely different boat than your cruising 35 model, so the windows are much different. Your boat resembles a pilothouse model and ours is a traditional design.

by the time my boat was built, jensen marine had taken over the manufacturing... in california.
