I am a "new to me" owner of a 1974 CAL35C Cruiser. I would like to learn what I can about the boat and find a resource for my questions, that are bound to come as I learn to sail, enjoy and work on my new vessel.
Of immediate interest is information about the "deadlights" that surround the salon of my new craft.
Oh, by the way, her name is "Hadley". This is a tribute to my Grandfather lost at sea off Lunga Point, Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands. As well as the brave crew of the USS Hadley who did their duty protecting the fleet off of Okinawa the morning of May 11 1945.
Yes I am excited. After several years of small boat sailing and crewing for friends I look forward to taking my new boat out among you fellow Sailboat Owners.
