Cal 33

I purchased a 1988 Cal 33 last year. I see many references to a Cal 33-2 in the PHRF ratings. What is the difference in a Cal 33 and a 33-2.

Cal 33-2

The 33 is the older model - not sure of production years. The 33-2 was built from 1985 - 1989?I have a 1985 33-2 with a base rating of 132.Hope this helps.Tim

I have an '87 Cal 33. I beliee the difference is that the 33's had two different designers. Our boats were a Robert Hunt design, the second or latter of the two Cal 33's. His company still has the plans of our boat and can sell them ($25 per page). pboyce@crhunt.com
