Rudder - tiller

How about using the emergence tiller post? I owned a 1978 Cal 2-29 built by Jensen. It was a great boat! It was equipped with an emergency tiller, which fit into a slotted post on top of rudder shaft and was covered by plastic shield on cockpit sole. Does yours have this?
