Cal 22 Parts

Hello group, I am in the process of inspecting a 1986 Cal 22 for purchase.

Currently I own a Catalina 18 and know it's relatively easy to get parts for Catalina's.
The boat appears to be very well maintained but I'm wondering if some hardware breaks or I want to replace a part say in the cabin how hard is it going to be finding replacement parts or just parts that would suffice? I'm just curious if it will be a huge headache buying a boat no longer in production and needing to fix things? I know lots of people own boats no longer in production but wondering what people do? By the way I'm only 3 years into boat ownership so I'm still a bit of a newbie.

Any input greatly appreciated.

Uhmm, Catalina is still in business. Plus Catalina Direct, which started out as a C22 parts supplier, is always there for you.

I have a 1979 CAL 2-25 and the CAL 22 looks like a smaller sister. Almost all sailboat manufacturers used standard "third party" part suppliers. For more info have a look at:
