Does anyone have pictures of the inside of a cal 20, (layout). I see what I think may be a cal 20 at one of our local yacht clubs but I can find no markings to verify. I have seen some outside pics and it is this that leads me to think it may be a cal 20.

This may help

Here's a link to a copy of a line drawing from an old brochure. I'm sure that someone with the Cal 20 National Association may be able to help you with how to identify (SN location, etc.) Good luck.

Cal20 pics

The link that Bob C. sent you to is a picture of a later cal 20. The early ones, which are the more desired ones had a varnished bulkhead where the bars are on the one in the pictures. The passageway to the vberth is the space between the bars, and the cabin is separated by the bulkhead. If it is a bulkhead model the hull numbers were stenciled in the vberth side, upper starboard. I think there is another hull number inside the hull on the transom. I have a picture of my bulkhead model, I don't know how to upload it tho.

Thanks Jim, and others as well

From what I can see through the portlights of this boat, it indeed has a bulkhead. It definately is a swing keel model that I am looking at though, and I can't seem to match that to any thing I see on the net!!! Is yours a swing keel model? If so, what is the draft range? Are the weight specs similar to the keel model? Jim, to upload a picture, while posting, click with your mouse the checkbox above where you insert your message. The first box says, I have a photo to post with my reply. Then when you post your message you will be asked to add the link to your picture on your computer. Click the browse button, and treat it like you would be searching for a particular file. Once you get to the right picture, double click, a thumbnail should appear, then select 'post with picture' or something to that effect, and you are away. I'll try to have my camera next time I see that boat in question, and upload a picture for confirmation.
