I have a H31 1986. Above sink and icebox I cutting out the factory T shape openings and replacing w/ teak door that lock. I am looking to match the existing wood finish. Any suggestions? I am looking to use Marine Ply wood w/teak veneer glued to front. I am open to other suggestions here too.

matching salon woods

Think thats a good solution, did my whole cabin, turned out great. I put mag wood veneer over everything except the solid teak draw fronts, doors.. Used contact cement. then a 50 50 mix of aceatone and WM epoxy, brush it on and wipe it off right away. this seals the wood. If you don't do this, and you put any type of oil on it, teak oil, lemon oil, etc, it will soak thru and release the contact cement. them start to bubble up. Not a good thing. Take your time and it will look nice..
