On my H260 in the Vee berth, there is an elliptical cover under the cushions covering a storage area. Almost directly under the anchor locker. This storage area has a preformed shape that looks like it should be for something very specific. When asked my Hunter dealer was at a loss for what it might be. In his defence, he does not sell or see many of the smaller Hunters. Can anyone tell me what this specially shaped storage area might be for? I checked my manual and it is not referenced. Thanks & best regards, George, S/V Antrim

Table for cockpit

That is the storage for the small pedistal table that fits in the square receiver in the middle of the cockpit floor on my H26. Didn't your boat come one?

You must have wheel steering.

That is infact for the cockpit table, but you only have the table if you have tiller steering. The table goes right where the wheel is located.

Tillers Rule!

So not only is the tiller mechanically simpler and less expensive than the wheel, but you get a cool place for outdoor cocktail snacks and cocktails to boot!

Thanks guys for the reply's. To answer Dick's question - no my H260 did not come with one - so off the dealer I go again. Cheers.

No more table

Hunter discontinued the cockpit table on the 2000 model, I think. Even though it was still in the brochure. We had a heck of a time figuring out what that odd shaped space could possibly be for. There used to be a square spot on the sole of the cockpit that a bracket fit in. If you don't have that, you won't have a table.

Discontinued in 1999, I believe

The cockpit table was dicontinued with the transition from H26 to H260, with the 1999 model, I believe. Fair winds, Tom
