My 1988 Catalina 30TR came with (previous-owner) installed carpet, which I have sort of gotten used to. It needs to be replaced, however, and I was wondering if anyone knows of a source to buy a pre-cut carpet that would fit my boat. Another owner at our marina thought Catalina made one, but I couldn't find anything like that on the Catalina manufacuter's web page, or in the Catalina owner's chandlery. So before I go out an buy a carpet and cut it to fit, I wanted to see if there was an easier way.

Home Depot

I replaced my carpet last year. I simply got a big piece form Home Depot (or Lowes). I took the old carpet out and layed it over the new carpteting as a template. I cut it and glued the edges with a special glue they sold me at where I bought the carpet. It was inexpensive and looks great.

CARPET

Call the Catalina factory. They will make you a new fitted carpet. You might have to send in a template. They quoted me $195 for a Cat-28 which I thought was reasonable. Rick

Remnants bin

I like Eric's suggestion. You might also try going to any carpet warehouse and looking through the remnants bin. I found a piece there for my C27 for under $20.

Carpet

catalinayachts.com is the place to go for new carpet. We have recently replaced our 1988 C-30 carpet for approx. $300. It is identical to the original Catalina factory carpet, even with the velcro attachments. Chuck
