I am in the process of installing a new cabin sole.Just wondering if anybody would know what type of glue I could use to glue it down? The original glue that I scraped off looked like silicone I think. I am also looking for a used dodger for a pattern to make a new one. thanks Allan

Glue.......

I'm not sure about your particular boat, but my(37') floorboards have screws holding them down. To me, glue is a relative permanent but unreliable way to secure the floorboards. Screws permit controlled access. I think you should wait for additional responses from others with your model to see what they have..

"Glue" probably sealant

Hunter used Dow sealant and if the "glue" is white that is probably what it is. A call to the Hunter parts department will get you the number - something like 795 or 895. For access to the bildge I'd think screws would be a lot easier than trying to separate the wood from this adhesive. With regard to the dodger, I'd recommend a "four window" model, one where there are two front windows and one each on the sides. The front windows should have a vertical zipper at the center of the traveler and another zipper at each of the port and starboard traveler cam cleats. The middle windows can then be "rolled up" which is handy when trying to run the main sheet. After 9 years of use we finally had an "accident" where a sharp corner on the main sheet block/cam cleat "cut" the plexiglass therefore I'd recommend a stand-up spring for the main sheet block/cleat. When motoring it's a good idea to have the front windows open a bit to cut down on the station wagon effect from the diesel exhaust which has been determined to be quite hazardous to health, sort of like smoking cigaretes.
