The origiona cabin sole in my S2 8.5 was replaced before I acquired the boat with a hardwood composit of some king. The years and weather have it in the early stages of peeling apart. What do most use for cabin soles, and has anyone tried any of the bamboo products currently on the market. I have seen some bamboo that I really like, but not sure about it's ability to withstand the wear and moisture that it receives directly under the hatch, which is where the current floor is starting to become seperated.

Bamboo Sole

I pulled the old teak and holly plywood floor out and replaced with solid 5/8 carbonized bamboo last year. It is a golden honey color. I glued with mastic and screwed it in and finished with teak plugs. It shows no signs of wear or discoloration. I am very happy with it.
