Looking for "how to" information on laying a sole in my 30'TR. Can work with wood but never done this project before. Anyone have any books or suggestions for my research? I am at square one.

Wood sole

I liked a wood that we use for decks Its called Iron wood ,(a kind of mohgany) Its sold at lumber yards Its very hard and very heavy and looks nice I was thinking of cuting 1/8" strips 2" wide and lamenating them with west systems epoxy like they did In there book Fiber glass boat repair #002-550 page#46 fig6-5 they epoxyed the wood on there deck and filled the joints with calk or a epoxy grafite mix.I fixed some hatches on deck and replaced my bilge covers on my sole.I am a carpenter by trade but had never used anty epoxy.Iron wood is a little dark but Its looks nice with white calk joints. And Its cheep compared to teak www. west system.com (989)684 -1374 JohnOlsonCat 30
