I just bought a 24.5 and am refurbishing it. There is rot where the bulkhead seperating the forword cabin meets the cabin sole. I have cut away most of the rot and the floor where the sole is mounted looks OK. Has anyone replaced the cabin sole? Where can I find sole material? I also need to replace the headliner. I've thought about carpit, Laminate or just paint. Any suggestions?

Hugh for the sole you might find this link useful. http://www.seidelmann-owners.com/Articles.html For the headliner I just removed all the old material and underlying plywood ad painted the surface with a flat exterior house paint. I plan to eventually plan to glue on some non-skip material commomly used for placemats and as a non-slip layer under area carpets. It comes in a variety of colors.

I am going through this right now. I found on the Web and at local stores it is quite easy to buy 1/2 or 3/4 inch marine plywood with a teak and holly surface. It should be pretty straightforward to cut a new sole out of the plywood and install it in your boat. I decided early on that I wanted a new sole that was more impervious to water and dirt being tracked into the boat so I am going with a Lonseal material glued to a Coosa laminate board. The Lonseal material is available in a matte finish and a shiny finish that looks a lot like a heavy coat of varnish. Best to order samples from them to see what looks best in your cabin. http://www.lonsealspecialty.com/lonwdteakholly.html
