My 1997 H376 is equipped with dealer installed air conditioning. It is located under the salon seat just forward of the galley. The grille for the return air is on the front panel of the seat base. My problem is that the teak and holly sole is turning black under the grille. It also cannot be easily removed. Any ideas on what is causing this, or how th remove it without damaging the cabin sole finish?

My guess is moisture.

Bob: My guess is that the discoloration is caused from moisture (i.e.: leaking, condensation) in the cabin sole. I have no idea where it is coming from but fairly sure of the cause.

condensate?

sounds like water. It could be overflow from the condensate pan which may be leaking rather than properly draining to wherever the installer intended. Don
