I have asked this question before but never got a response. Maybe no one had this problem. I get a leak by the starboard portlight over the stove and dish trays and shelf. this leak is driving me crazy. rebeded hand rail, mast line block, removed sea hood and hatch cover no luck. HELP.

It is very likely the port needs re-bedding. Almost all our boats have similar leaking problems. After you remove the port. Remove the wet core between the outside and inside cabin walls and replace it with epoxy or polyester resins - fiberglass. Seal all around the port frame. This will seal the port windows from water intrusion. This is one of the easy when building tasks that Hunter could have done but did not. Then replace the port using suitable caulk.

I had a similar problem at the same location on my H30. The leak was coming from the screws holding the stanchion to the deck. You might also tighten the toe rails; they can also leak in that area.

Thanks I removed portlite and reset it. the water seems to be driping from the head liner edge. rail and stanchon bolts seem to be dry.

The water is likely coming from some deck fitting then running down the liner to an opening - in this case, your portlight. EVERYthing on deck needs to come off and be re-bedded. I found large voids in the glass joinery under all my deck hatches and precious little caulking under the fittings. If the leak is tan or tobacco coloured, then it is running through the coring - and that of course leads to another job, but no sense fixing that until all the leaky areas have been addressed.
