Cabin Cushions and Cover

Just bought myslef a 28.5 hunter...whoohoo...and being a new sailor will need a lot of advise. For starters, I'm looking for a cover for the boat so that when she's washed down and birds won't crap on her, plus looking to place all the cushions down below. So, any ideas on where to get those? Looking forward to getting some leads. Happy sailing!

assuming you want to RE-place cushions?

I must assume that you are referring to Re-placing the interior cushions. There is a place in St. Petersburg that does good work for a good price. US Yacht Cushions 727/322-5352. They may be able to direct you to someone who can make the exterior canvas. Just remember that you need to be able to store that cover that is covered with Bird Crap when you remove it from the boat.

Lighter, cheaper cover

Too Tuff tarp is a heavy blue synthetic that you can order from Humprehys Textile Products in Philadelphia. 800 523-4503. For my Hunter 29.5, I use a 12x18 before the mast and 16x20 behind the mast and trim to fit while still on the hards. Total including shipping was $36. Tarps last a year and get replaced every winter.
