Cabin ceiling liner plug/cap source

I plan on finishing my rope clutch and deck organizer install this weekend.
I was going to through bolt to the cabin ceiling liner when it occurred to me that I should use the same method O'day did to mount the hand rails. I cut oversize holes in the liner and put the nuts and washers against the bottom of the deck, then plug the holes in the liners.

Anyone know of a source for the liner plugs/caps?

I was never able to find any that were the same color, so I just used white caps from a hardware store. Rudy doesn't have anything.

Yep, my local hardware store had clear caps but no white. Could paint them but arf145's link looked to be what I needed. I ordered a bag of 100, smallest quantity. If they look and work good, I'll be glad to share.

I used plugs from Home Depot used to plug up holes for sprayed insulation. I took the core of the hole saw I used to open up the cabin top to the paint department for a computer match. Just got a latex paint and it worked worked great. Professional results at minimal cost.

I got the caps from McMaster-Carr that were listed as white. Actually a translucent white. I used them today and they worked well. Will follow Higgs advice and have some paint made up that matches the core sample.

If anyone needs a few, let me know. I now have 96.

Ward, what size hole did you end up needing to plug? I had to do the Home Depot thing last week for a couple of 3/4" plugs, and need a few more plus a 1 inch. (I'm redoing handrails, they plug the liner from the underside).

Chris, I used 1" plugs so I could fit 1" fender washers under the lock nuts. If you want some 1" plugs, I can send you some. PM me your address.

I'll be needing some 3/4" plugs now. I took a few off under the hand rails for a look see and they broke apart.

Can you enlarge the 3/4" holes to 1" and use up a few more of the 96 extra plugs you already have available?

Ward, That is most kind of you to offer, Sir. Truth is, I can get them individually down here for I think 53 cents apiece. Not needing but a few, your trouble would be worth more than that. But thanks seriously, man. Angry bride is starting to make noises about my unfinished handrail project.
(I accuse her of being OCD; while I put ten coats of varnish on)..:)

Nom, thought about that. When drilling the new holes I had the centering hole for the hole saw. To drill the existing 3/4 to 1 I would have to do it "freehand". Afraid I might slip and do some damage. Now I know MC does not have a good color I will revisit the hardware store.
Color of the plug won't matter if I get some matched up paint.

Chris, always better to not anger the bride. What product are you using on the hand rails?
