Towards the end of last season, I felt a shimmy in my stearing. When hauling the boat for the winter, I found that there was, what I think, too much play in the rudder. Nothing seams to be broken or cracked and nothing was hit while sailing. Any ideas on where to start to solve this problem? Thanks.

involves teflon tape wrapped around the lower rudder stock. unless you are talking about serious slack....then you need to get the boat doctor to look at it.
