We were in Lloyd's Harbor on Long Island the other day. We took a dinghy ride into Huntington Harbor to explore a little. Saw two C310s on back to back moorings.

We were going to stop there. I was in oyster bay in March and made some friends there. We decided to hit Port Washington instead due to the grocery store.
I should. I am flying the C310 IA burgee. I will have to post some pics to the Facebook page.

No luck on the whales. We were looking but didn't see any. We have been seeing these massive balls of bunker though. Wow we don't get them like this in Mass anymore.
SV Smitty ????? I was tracking your progress to see how you went through NY harbor. I believe this could have been the SV Smitty under the Brooklyn Bridge. I did notice your SpotGPS was not communicating from about East 13 Street through South Ferry. I assume the SecretService had something to do with that. Safe journey. View attachment 91912

I am not surprised about the spot. Our GPS's were all going screwy. They had the East River entirely shut down from 8-12 today and the west side of Roosevelt island until 6 tonight. We had to go on the east side and get the bridge open.

The New Jersey coast has been getting bashed all week. We were trying to be past there early this week. If lucky we will get a weather window mid next week to go. But it doesn't look pretty out there. So we have just been hanging out on Long Island exploring around New York while we wait for the weather to. clear up.
The delay put us in the middle of some stuff in New York. Which we didn't even know about since we don't pay attention to the news anymore. A friend texted me and we had an hour of research to figure out what was happening when. The East River will be closed longer on Monday for the President and Putin at the UN.
We will just head down to Sandy Hook and anchor with some friends.

Let me know when you are in the vicinity of Atlantic Highlands. We'll be out there this Sat/Sun. Some of my friends are already prepping for a 10/10 haulout. I am going to try to push it a week or two later.
