I am purchasing a new C310 and after getting feeback from this site decided on the Fin keel, for various reasons. I note in a C310 Catalina brochure the draft for fin keel is stated at 5 ft 9 inches. However a search of the 310 archives on this site highlighted a discrepancy noted by some 310 owners who measured their fin keel at 6 ft 5 inches. I also note a 310 owner with wing keel measured 4 ft 10 inches compared to the stated spec of 4.0 ft in the Catalina New Catlina 310 brochure. I have another Catalina 310 brochure stating the wing keel is 4ft 4 inches. Any newish 310 owners with fin keel out there know the exact draft figure. I note the small print underneath states "all measurements are approximate and subject to change without notice". I suspect the 310 specs have changed and not reflected in some of the brochures handed out by dealers, unfortunately they are not dated. I also note the fresh water capacity is stated as 208 litres taking out the unuseable engine water(75l)it would be only 133 litres. So buyers beware get the latest brochure and check with Catalina yachts. I intend to confirm the fin keel spec with them.
