Happy new year..!
We had a heart stopping moment when the steering made a loud clunk noise in about a 30 knot breeze , the wheel went a bit slack then returned to normal.
We think the the steering chain jumped a tooth under extreme pressure, probably due to slack cables.
I had a quick look at quadrant and tried to tighten eye bolts without much success, have to take a closer look this weekend .
Has anyone worked on the C309 steering , where’s the best place to get access from to adjust cables ?
Also how tight should the cable / chain be ?
