C30 Rudder Weight

Does anybody know of the weight of a Catalina 30 rudder that is not waterlogged?.
In my humble opinion, it looks like the rudder was designed to be buoyant. That's the only way I can understand the lack of bearings in the system. The rudder pushes up gently against the lower ring of nylon, rather than having it hanging down from the beneath the quadrant.

I don't know the weight but I had a C30 with a waterlogged rudder - I replaced it with one from Foss Foam (who built the original) that was positively buoyant, it raised the stern of the boat 2-3 inches over the waterlogged one. The boat then floated on its factory lines.
