Check out Norcold

Jim -My previously-owned '81 C30 came with a Norcold icebox conversion -- automatically switches from 110V to 12V when you disconnect from shore power. Works really well. The cooler unit and thermostat are in the icebox and the condenser unit is in the port cockpit locker. Mike TurnerS/V Amity

I put a frigoboat air cooled unit with the small "bin" style evaporator in mine. Works like a champ.It probably runs about 15 minutes total out of every hour. I have heard they now have an even more efficient unit. Something to do with a plate in the hull.
